Suduaya

LD aka Suduaya was born in 1986, in Reims (France). He spent his early childhood, and he has been living in such a way since then, accompanied with notes and melodies.

At 4, he started learning the violin, an instrument he played for seven years. In the meantime he successfully tried other instruments such as the trumpet or the drums. At the age of 12, he finally chose the instrument he felt it was his vocation, the guitar.

As a teenager, he explored any type of music, ranging from the blues to funk music, reggae and rock, metal or techno. At 17, he discovered psychedelic trance.

Not in the least denying his taste for acoustics, his interest in the prospects offered by electronics was greater and greater. He composed for a rock band. It became an electro-acoustic project called “Ôm”. 

In 2005, he recorded a guitar part on Psyside’s Anomaly in your Brain.

He met Al K Traxx, a hip-hop band. They composed a song together. Two years later he joined them as their guitarist.

In 2007, he was asked to remix, at a contemporary music festival in Brittany (Lady Mond), works by Claude Debussy and Maurice Ravel, associating electronic rhythms, sounds and atmospheres reflecting his universe.

At the same time curious about everything and open-minded, he keeps on developing his own philosophy about life, a philosophy based on harmony, sharing, and spirituality.

After a few months in Asia, he came back home with the name “Suduaya”, which means “white brother” in Singhalese. Since then, he has been composing down-tempo pieces.  

His music is a hymn to peacefulness as well as to “moving stillness”; a temporal parenthesis during which your body requires nothing but relaxing more piece after piece.

After two years of research and experiments, he is now signing his first chill-out album entitled Beyond Galaxies with the Aboriginal Record label. The album makes you dream of faraway places, physically as well as spiritually, Suduaya’s particular style being born from alchemy between Dub, down-tempo and ethnological music, its basses and ethereal melodies wrapping you in an acoustic cocoon, making you wander at the rhythm of your imagination, sometimes on the earth, sometimes in the air, even further…

Suduaya’s music sounds like a fusion effect between the terrestrial hustle and bustle, and stellar stillness.
