Badajalash

Alejandro Macias aka Badajalash / DJ PsyXel was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina. During his childhood he used to listen many styles of music like progressive rock, reggae, celtic music & heavy metal.

In 1994 he started to play the guitar in a punk band but it was in 1998 when he discovered goatrance. At that point there was no turn back, he got hooked with this fascinating mind blowing music and moved to London UK where he went to every party he could getting more familiar with the electronic scene.

Returning to Argentina PsyXel Badajalash soon became involved in producing and mixing psytrance. By end of 2005 he began to DJ in Buenos Aires with a very positive response playing alongside artists like Atomic Pulse (IL), Psypsiq Jicuri (CL), Heterogenesis (AR), Pragmatix (AR), DarkPsy (PT), Frantic Noise (AR), Megalopsy (AR), M4nos (AR) and almost all the local DJ's.

In 2006 he played for the first time in Europe: he shared stage with Klopfgeister (DE), Shawnodese (NL) and P-Mac (PT) at an amazing indoor party called Traumfänger that took place in Wuppertal, Germany.
During this trip he also was invited to join Hallu-gen family, a crew based in Aachen (Germany) that specializes in UV light decoration.

After coming back from the Old Continent, Alejandro played regularly at psytrance events and started to plan next year tour.

From May til July 2007 he made the European Summer Tour 2007. He played at parties in Germany, Belgium and Netherlands where Audiomatic (DE), Protonica (DE), Tron (MX), Triskell (FR), Mad Contrabender (NL), Orgon Flow (CH), F.L.U.X. (DE), Digicult (BE), Atma (RO), Ephedrix (BE), Mikadho (DE), Astronom (DE) Müstik (CH) and Bitkit (BE) performed among other artists.
Remarkable events: The learning journey (Ruigoord Church, NL), Akitoka Open Air Festival (Winterberg, DE), Per Anhalter Ins All 5 (Aachen, DE) and Eternal Lights (Köln, DE).

On his return he has continued to delight the crowd with his particular DJ sets where psychedelic sounds, melodies and groovy bass lines blend in an intense evolving journey, dependent on time and place.


Alejandro is very open-minded regarding music and that is why he produces not only psy progressive and full on tracks but downbeat, chillout and breakbeat aswell.
About his dance floor oriented productions, tribal percussions, twisted synth lines, deep atmospheres, futuristic effects and propulsive bass meshes to form a stomping sound.
His chillout songs are characterized by ethnic instruments, mellow sounds and expressive melodies that will transport the listener to a magical journey, a place where there are no boundaries.
