Temporal Coding is a solo trance project by 24 year old london based producer/DJ Jacob Studt. Coming from a background of classical and orchestral music, he has been playing and performing from an early age. Inspired by sun-drenched dance-floors and the exotic-futuristic sounds he had been exposed to over the previous 5 years, Joe started producing trance seriously in 2003. He is influenced by a range of styles both in and outside of electronic music, as well as a desire not to stray into standardised genre territory – and has been developing an intricate and richly textured blend of progressive and psychedelic trance. Constantly searching for new people and places to be inspired by, Temporal Coding incorporates samples and soundscapes collected from travels throughout India, Nepal and SE Asia.
DJ sets cover a spectrum of prog-minimal, progressive and psychedelic trance and with eight years experience mixing a variety of genres, the emphasis is on sensitively chosen tracks and clean, seamless blending. Currently exploring the hard and twisted sounds of the Australian progressive scene and deep hypnotic rhythms of Scandinavia and Switzerland, he also keeps a keen ear open to the established masters of high energy psychedelic trance.
